CALLED

It always works this way.  Every time I am finally able to turn everything completely over to the Lord in peace, I start to get answers.  Once I had peace of mind about choosing my major, I could then pray and could get confirmation.  Once I could plan my life out both with a mission included and without, then I could get an answer to prepare.  Once I humbled myself enough that I could accept a mission call anywhere (see patience post), the next morning I got my call.  October 24th.  It was a busy day.  It was a busy week.  but I was at peace.  at rest in my heart.

I am called to serve in the Paris, France Mission.

Ever since we moved from France, I have wanted to serve there.  I always hoped that I could brush up my French by returning and serving.  I have kept in my heart French architecture, music, food, streets, gallantry.  I have defended the French, I have loved the French.  and I'm going back.   I keep on laughing out loud.   and giggling.  and crying.  It is too perfect.  God is so good to me.  Once I could finally give up the desire of my heart, it has been granted.

My Senior Recital (Dec. 5th 5:30!) is almost solely French composers: Poulenc, Ravel, Debussy, and Liszt.  Music.  France.  the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I'm going on a mission.

What a privilege to serve!

You might recognize this building in downtown Paris, and the people outside of it...
