Happy Valentines Day

EVERY companionship in the Paris Zone has one or more baptismal dates. (ours is elisabeth now!)

We showed up with a foot of snow on our heads and feet to Pamela and Etienne's house. They are a french couple that were found porting a year or two ago. Etienne had started to meet occasionally with the missionaries and Frère Cunche, the stake patriarch. Pamela would go into the other rooms since it was a little bit like a 'boy party.' both of them are very believing and go each week to the protestant church in Melun.

After having introduced ourselves and sung that first (awkward) time, she called to invite us to have a moment together with her, just her. To prepare herself for the rendezvous she read the joseph smith history story. She had so many good real questions.

Wouldn't God have prepared a way that he wouldn't have to take his authority away from the Earth? She asked our conversion stories and why we were serving missions right now. The spirit was so strong and she then shared why she is a christian. Her family has Indian roots and so her family is not Christian. but there was always something that attracted her. As an adolescent, one time she came home feeling a great burden. She could not explain it away, and finally locked herself in her room and cried and prayed to the Lord. She felt bad for everything that she had done that was not in accordance with his will and at the same time felt a great comfort, peace and joy. Since that experience, she has 'walked with Jesus.'

She asked for a copy of the Docrine and Covenants. Etienne came home halfway through the rendezvous and started answering some of her questions. This whole time she has been dying to ask all these questions. It is so beautiful. She is starting to see the need for a restoration of the fullness of time.

love you all, happy V day
