From the MTC: Jan 30, 2009

Here I am, sitting in the MTC Laundry, facility with my dear companion, Sœur Aymon. She is from French Guiana, an only member in her family, and is a branch of 25. She is simply delightful. Yesterday in our first companionship study (after I changed branches, districts, rooms, keys, etc.) we sang, "Souviens toi" together. She has a great ear and we both shed a tear.

My other two roommates are French natives too and they fawn over me as well as the French native Elders. They love my accent and mannerisms and my frustration at finding the best way to say something ("It sounds poetic!").

I love every moment here. The scheduled time I was afraid of is easy. There is not a moment when my heard does not swell with the Spirit of God.

I am a solo sister in my "ESL advanced" class, but the rest of the time I can stay with Sœur Aymon. I love having time to study personally, in companionships, and only read and speak in French.

It is so lovely here. My first day +1/2 here have been so wonderful.

Love xoxo
Sœur Wilson
