Last words from the MTC!

This Tuesday, I was escorted by 11 elders through San Francisco, CA. We met at 5 am to leave and breath in outside-the-bubble-air. (Those of you who think that BYU is a bubble, it is nothing compared to the MTC.)

I whipped all these Elders into shape. I forced them to memorize scriptures in French and practice this contracting conversation in French. I made sure they obeyed the rules and chided them for their classroom habits (maybe it's just because there are only 3 people in my class that we cannot sleep! (: )

Everything went smoothly with the visas, and so I will be in France this Tuesday at 11:15 am!!! I also heard rumor that Elder Oaks will be visiting.... After our visas we grabbed lunch in Chinatown. The taxi driver stopped off at several lookout points to see the bay and the Golden Gate bridge. It was a lovely day. In the plane, after studying and memorizing, I read all of Mosiah into Alma in French. It was beautiful.

Even through we weren't allowed to proselyte, one of the Swill Elders continuously carried others' luggage, papers, car seats. We all should have done that, that is what being of the Church of Christ is all about. The last few days I have studied the atonement while preparing the plan of salvation lesson in French. It is so beautiful.

As I returned home at 9 pm, I came into District testimony meeting and realized how much I missed them all. I was also able to testify of my Savior Jesus Christ. I have such Confidence in Him. I will bring all I can to Him. I will give all I have to Him. Give my heart to Him, I will come unto Christ.

"I cannot deny thy pow'r Lord, they Tears of blood which wash my soul. Thine easy yoke, they burden light-- that gives me rest and makes me whole."

All of them are so strong-- Sœur Aymon, Elders Occolier, Olivier, Galletti, Ugalde, Kutterer, Delgado, Santo and Ginato. Praise be to my lord.

The Gospel is going forth boldly, nobly and independently.
