Rose
do you remember how I contacted her? I sat across from her on the RER A and said that i liked her turquoise (shirt, earrings, necklace)... it was my birthstone. anyway, she has progressed so quickly during this short summer break that she's had off of work. After never really praying her whole life, two days ago she prayed to start our rendezvous: thankyou god for putting us together, for the fulfillment that has been brought to me, for the joy we have had together, for the blessings you have given me... she and I shed a tear.
we saw her last monday night at Lydie's house (my trainer's convert, now in my area) for an FHE. We taught about Sabbath day and she said that 'it's like recharging our batteries!' I didn't tell her that I had used that same phrase with many other amis. then we asked her to start praying about a baptismal date in October. At our first rendezvous, I told her that if she took the lessons, she could have the option of getting baptised when she knew that it was the right thing. and remember she's already come to Pablo's baptism. Lydie stood up and got out her pictures of her baptism just 8 months ago. as we poured over the pictures, the spirit just sang in that tiny appartment accross from the university on the 12th floor.
Rose came to church, again, on Sunday but this time with her 7 year old daughter. The whole time just kept asking questions, agreeing or struggling with comments and learning and trusting me, and becoming even better friends with the many members she already knows. She is such a gem. we have gone through so much together. she starts up work again this week and it will be crazy, but she said she'd keep calling me, she's not missing church, and she should be able to host an FHE next week...
Master, Rabonni
My LORD
My Soul doth magnify my Lord
and my Spirit Rejoiceth in GOD
my Savior
the lord hath shown unto me great things
and HOLY, Holy, holy is his name.
(as i quoted in Mary's Song I wrote on Singer's tour last year)
