Joseph

Happy St Nicks day!!

It was after English class, and we were in the last metro on our way home. there were no seats, but as I looked around, I nodded in greeting at an older sophistacated French man a little ways away. after a few stops, the seat in front of him was vacated, and so I sat down across from him. "Are you French?" ... not my best pick up line, but people rarely remember exactly how we started talking. after just a moment, he started asking so many questions, I could not believe it. He said that he's seen many, many missionaries, but none other than me dared talk to him. He asked all about my music career and our faith and doctrine. I threw in some composer's names and some mormon and biblical terms like 'prophets,' 'revelation,' and 'priesthood' when I looked at him and said, 'I'm not sure how much of this you're understanding.' -- ' it's good--keep on going' he told me.

So after explaining all about the organization of the church etc., I got to find out that he just came from choir practice. he opened his briefcase and the only things in it were his 'partitions', his choir parts. We sang together and laughed. I told him about our concerts and asked about his. At La Défense, I gave him a website card with our number on it if he had more questions about concerts or anything (because he had said that he has his proper Christian beliefs).

Well, he called the next day (for those of you non-missionaries, that is AMAZING!) and wished me happy holidays after about one minute of questions that made it clear to me that he had checked out the website. but then we kept answering questions for a half an hour. He is So Curious.
Well, he's not inviting us over yet, but now we have his phone number, and I'm finding an excuse to call him back. :)

love, Sr Wilson

PS- thanks sister Adams (mikah) for your emails!
